As you make your way through the various missions and objectives in Brighter Shores you will be able to add your friends and enjoy the co-op aspects of the MMO. However, this is not something that you will be able to do right off the bat.
Co-op features are locked behind progression, and you will need to complete a certain portion of the initial narrative before you are able to add your friends.
So if you are having trouble with the multiplayer aspect of the RPG, here is a guide that goes over everything you need to know.
How to co-op with your friends in Brighter Shores

As mentioned, you will need to complete the main narrative to a particular point to be able to unlock the co-op feature of Burning Shores. The mission in question is called “Level Up” and is a part of the main questline.
Level Up is part of the tutorial phase and to complete it you will need to get your hands on Delana’s Bow, make a few potions, and kill some goblins along the way. Once you are done with the objectives you will then gain access to Privacy Settings where you will finally be able to gain access to the co-op features.
Here are a few steps that you will need to follow:
- Click on the Settings option which is on the top-left corner of the screen. It will be identified with the Gear symbol. From the pop-up select “Change” in the Privacy Settings menu and then press “Anybody” on the “Who can you send friend invitations to?” section.
- If you want to have your friends send you an invite then click on the box which is in the third section. You can increase access further by clicking on “Anybody” or “Friend” when it comes to receiving messages or disallowing other players to see when you are online.
- Once you are happy with these privacy settings you will then need to click on “Community” and then click on the Friends section in the bottom-right corner to have access to the “Invite Friend” pop-up.
- The next step will be to input their full in-game name with the “#” suffix. Doing so correctly will have their name pop up and you will be able to add them to your list. Additionally, you will be able to add other players to your list from the Community section if they are around you. Just bring up the tab, and you will find their names if they are on the server or the map that you are in, click on their name, and “Send Friend Invite”.
If you do not find an option to send a friend invite, it’s likely because the player has turned co-op off from their Privacy Settings.
Note: You will not be able to add more than 200 players to your friend list. The inbox is also limited to 50 messages. So make sure to keep these social nuances in mind when playing Brighter Shores.
