All Status Effects (Boosts and Ailments) in Monster Hunter Wilds

Status effects are a key part of the combat mechanic in Monster Hunter Wilds. These are special conditions that are either obtained or afflicted on your hunter or the monster that you are hunting.

This is why status effects come in two forms: Boosts or Ailments. Boosts are the buffs that have positive multipliers on certain attributes of either the hunter or the monster.

Ailments, on the other hand, are the status de-buffs that are inflicted either by the hunter on the monster or by the monster on the hunter. So if you looking to learn everything about Status Effects in the RPG, then the guide below will help you out.

List of Status Effect Boosts in Monster Hunter Wilds

As a hunter, here are some of the Status Boosts that you will need to worry about in Monster Hunter Wilds

Status	Effect	How to obtain
Attack Up	Increase your overall damage rating	・Usually obtained by consuming Might Seed or Demon Drug. ・By performing melodies and creating Echo Bubbles with the Hunting Horn. ・Can be obtained as a part of an armor set bonus.
Defense Up	Increases your total defense.	・Usually obtained by consuming Adamant Seed or Armorskin. ・By performing melodies and creating Echo Bubbles with the Hunting Horn. ・Can be obtained as a part of an armor set bonus.
Fire Resistance Up	Will increase your resistance to fire and will also prevent Fireblight after a particular resistance threshold.	・Can be obtained as a part of an armor set bonus. ・By performing melodies and creating Echo Bubbles with the Hunting Horn.
Self-Improvement	You will receive the following buffs: ・Increased movement speed ・Increased attack ・Will prevent attacks from being deflected.	・Hunting Horn exclusive and is obtained by performing melodies and creating Echo Bubbles with the Hunting Horn.
Knockback Negated	Prevents the Hunter from being knocked back by attacks.	・Repeatedly hit Monsters with the Poison effect. ・Use Antidote or Herbal Medicine
Meal Effects	Meal effects are the meal bonuses that you receive after consuming cooked food.	・By cooking and eating any meal.

List of Status Effect Ailments in Monster Hunter Wilds

Here is a list of all the Ailments that you can inflict on the monster or the monster can inflict on you:

Status	Effect	How to Inflict	How to Remove
Poison	When affected by poison you or the monster’s health will go down over time.	・Repeatedly hit Monsters with the Poison effect. ・Using a Poisontoad	・Removed by consuming an Antidote or Herbal Medicine. ・You wait for the poison to subside.
Paralysis	When inflicted you or the monster will be unable to move for some time.	・Repeatedly hit Monsters with attacks that build up Paralysis. ・Using a Paratoad	・Keep spamming your movement buttons. ・Paralysis ends when you are hit by an attack. ・You can wait for it to subside.
Stun	When inflicted you or the monster will be unable to move for some time.	Hit monsters on the head repeatedly. Blunt weapons have the most amount of stun value.	・Keep spamming your movement buttons. ・Stun effect ends when you are hit by an attack. ・You can wait for it to subside.
Fireblight	You or the monster burn every second when inflicted with Fireblight. HP goes down over time.	・Repeatedly hit Monsters with the attacks that do Fire damage or create fireblight. ・Using a Blastoad	・Use Nulberries ・Roll a few times on the ground (three to be exact) or once when in a water body. ・Wait for it to subside.
Waterblight	Waterblight will decrease your stamina recovery speed.	・Repeatedly hit Monsters with attacks that do Water damage or create Waterblight. ・Using a Watertoad	・Use Nulberries ・Wait for it to subside
Thunderblight	If you are afflicted with Thunderblight you have an increased likelihood of being stunned.	・Repeatedly hit Monsters with attacks that do Thunder damage or create Thunderblight.	・Use Nulberries. ・Wait for it to subside
Iceblight	When inflicted with it you will have increased Stamina consumption.	・Repeatedly hit Monsters with attacks that do Ice damage or create Iceblight.	・Use Nulberries. ・Wait for it to subside
Dragonblight	A status that negates the elemental properties of your weapon.	・Repeatedly hit Monsters with a weapon that deals Dragonblight.	・Use Nulberries. ・Wait for it to subside
